In the context of the recent dual-certificate practice in China´s vocational education, this paper provides an analysis of the mechanism of the signaling of credentials on the basis of the screening model and human capital model. Statistical analysis indicates that credentials can offer much more employment opportunities for secondary vocational education graduates than school diplomas in China´s labor market.
