Abstract
In this paper, we presents a new lot transportation approach by using "PULL" concept to improve the efficiency of an automated material handling system (AMHS) and to reduce the waiting time after a lot is claimed. After the simulation in real Fab, this approach is shown to increase 7-9% of the AMHS transporting capacity and to reduce approximately 30% of waiting time after lot claiming in average.
