Abstract :
The application of cavity quantum electrodynamics and semiconductor quantum well physics in planar quantum well micro-cavities has been studied. The spontaneous emission spectra are obtained for different mirror reflectivities and cavity lengths when the carrier density is fixed. The spontaneous emission lifetime is also given
