Abstract :
This paper proposes the packet overflow probability of the switching system with mixed bursty packets where bursty video and voice packets are accepted under the partial batch acceptance strategy, and bursty file data packets under the whole batch acceptance strategy. Since file data is requested for repeat in the event of packet overflow, file data packet overflow probability is not considered. The general expression for packet overflow probability is derived under the proposed mixed acceptance strategy. Next, the numerical calculation is carried out. It is found that the switching system under the proposed mixed acceptance strategies has advantages to reduce video and voice packet overflow probability
