Abstract
The findings of a study to determine the optimum procedure for insulation removal from magnet wire on an automated basis utilizing "state of the art" technology are presented. The ability to remove coatings from a multi-strand lead using no manual intervention is critical to the automation process. The process requires the capability to remove high temperature insulation from several different wire gauges utilizing the same processing equipment. The exhaustive research work necessary for the optimization of this process is detailed
