Abstract
The dispersion characteristics of multilayered strip gatings are analyzed by the singular integral equation method. We clarified the physical relation between the dispersion and scattering properties, and examined the accuracy of the approximate solution. This method enables us to obtain the equivalent permittivity of the artificial strip type dielectric
