Abstract :
The problem associated with the influence of the potential barrier on the magnitude of the surface plasmon increment (decrement) is discussed. The probability of radiation absorption processes by the energy-quantum electron of the electromagnetic field on the surface of a conducting solid with allowance being made for a finite potential magnitude has been studied. Yet the mechanism of surface oscillation instability has not been studied. The present paper is devoted to solving this problem
