Abstract :
Due to the recent development of information technologies, streaming delivery on hybrid broadcasting environments has attracted attention. In streaming delivery on hybrid broadcasting environments, clients receive data from communication systems and broadcasting systems. Interruptions occur when the time to receive data is later than the time to play them. Therefore, some methods to reduce interruption time for streaming delivery on hybrid broadcasting environments have been proposed. However, these methods cannot reduce interruption time effectively because the number of the data division is restricted to the number of the broadcast channels. In this paper, we propose scheduling methods to reduce interruption time by dividing data into more segments than the number of the broadcast channels. Our proposed methods create broadcast schedules of segments and further reduce interruption time than existing methods.
