Abstract :
The physical model, design and optimization technique of CMOS compatible on-chip antenna for contact-less IC card are discussed. This paper proposes a genetic algorithm(GA) based optimization technique for the design of on-chip antenna. GA is used to find out the optimal parameters to enhance the loop quality factor, and meet the constraints at the same time. The simulation results demonstrate that GA can improve loop quality when the process condition is fixed, and the technological characters can be optimized to find even better result when the process condition is not fixed.
