Abstract
An iterative phase retrieval algorithm has been developed that determines the structure of nanoscale noncrystalline objects from their diffraction patterns. We have used this approach to characterize the wavefield of an focused optical laser source. This forms an integral component of more elaborate schemes currently under development to determine molecular structures from X-ray diffraction data.
