Abstract :
As part of the accreditation process under the National Fire Service Accreditation program, the City of Hampton, Virginia, USA has recently completed a prototype community fire risk assessment in which every structure was classified to a risk category. A risk metric derived from a [Consequence, Frequency] doublet quantified the risk associated with individual structures. Consequence and frequency values were derived based on an AHP model and empirical data, respectively
