Abstract
Current mobile and pervasive technologies (e.g., PDAs, GPRS/UMTS and WiFI connections, etc.) enable the development of adaptive peer-to-peer software infrastructures for supporting collaborative work of human operators in emergency/disaster scenarios. In this paper, we present a novel architecture, named MOBIDIS (Mobile @ DIS), currently under development in the context of an 1ST research project, in which operators, equipped with hand-held devices, are coordinated by a workflow management system able to adaptively change the process schema in order to cope with anomalies. Some preliminary experimental results are also presented
