Title :
Next generation wireless networks
Author :
Shafl, M. ; Aamer, Waseem ; Butterworth, K.
Abstract :
The authors discuss next generation wireless networks, covering the following topics: the evolution of the mobile network; the GRPS network architecture and protocols; the CDMA1X and HDR networks; the WCDMA network architecture and protocol stack; all-IP networks. architecture. Mobile networks are deploying infrastructure to provide a high speed data capability. As these next generation of networks are deployed a new generation of services will be deployed on cellular networks. Backbone networks are converging based on IP as a common networking layer. Thus the wireless network will simply be an extension of this new network
