Abstract :
The Chemtronics state-of-charge meter (SCM) model LS91 is designed for warehouses and laboratory applications. It is in routine use in the Israel Defence Forces. Its tactical version, model LS81, is in the prototype stage of development. A comparison of the properties of both LS91 and LS81 is given. The LS81 is a rugged backpack-carried unit, and is battery-powered, water-tight, and cable free. It is designed to meet military specifications and to operate at a temperature range of -25°C to +50°C. Preliminary field tests of the LS8 1 are reported
