Abstract :
B. Steiner channel estimation algorithm is generally adopted in TD-SCDMA system. However, because of the impact of background noise, there are some errors between the estimated channel impulses responses(CIRs) and the real ones in terms of amplitude and time-delay, leading to the system performance decreases. This paper proposes a gate method. This method comprehensively considers the effects of the power of the strongest path and the noises, when it is setting the gate value for the CIRs. The simulation results show that the improved CIRs are closer to the ideal ones and the system performance is effectively increased. Besides, this method is easily to be realized without adding any extra computations of system.
