Abstract
A review of basic fuse classifications, H, J, K, L, R, T, CC, and G, is presented. Motor starter testing standards required by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) are identified. The various allowable levels of overcurrent protection as specified by IEC and the National Electric Code (NEC) are discussed.<>
