Abstract :
Many modern cellular phones have to serve a combination of standards. E.g. a WCDMA (UMTS) device also has to be able to connect to a GSM network, the same holds for TD-SCDMA. As the different norms are never used at the same time, it makes sense to develop a versatile hardware for multi-mode signal processing in spite of very different parameters. This presentation describes the baseband part of the transmit signal generation.
