Abstract
A new electrical insulating system for high voltage machines has been developed with a thermal conductivity twice as high as conventional systems. It is based on a newly developed mica/glass fabric tape with superior thermal conductivity and designed for processing with vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) technology. The performance of this new insulating system has been demonstrated through extensive testing. Detailed results are presented
