Abstract :
With low usage of physical and application flow characterizations, current WMN architecture couldn´t make full use of the network capacity. Compared with conventional multi-hop wireless networks, nodes in wireless mesh networks (WMNs) are with diversity. However, current protocols for WMNs does not consider these characterizations. In order to improve the throughput of WMNs, this paper proposes a new node accessing control strategy (NACS), which provides a stable infrastructure for applications running in up-layers. Simulation results show that this new NACS works well and the average throughput of our new approach is at least 20% more than original NACSs inheriting from IEEE 802.11.
