Printed loop antennas for radio pagers: simulation and experimental design

This paper outlines the development of a printed loop antenna for use in radio pagers. The antenna described here makes use of an number of technologies in order to improve efficiency. The various technologies are investigated both experimentally and by simulation. The printed loop configuration is shown to be an improvement over the existing antenna. Good agreement is obtained between simulated and experimental results.
