  • Abstract
    Learn how to move forward with a next-generation test system using Microsoftreg.net, while continuing to preserve test modules created in other test languages. This session will discuss designing multitier test systems that take advantage of .net web-enabling features, in addition to reusing existing test steps designed for test and measurement. This technical paper is intended to demonstrate how to use Microsoft.net in automated test applications, in addition to reusing existing investments with NI TestStand. TestStand is a ready-to-run test management environment for automating and sequencing test and validation systems. TestStand allows users to sequence test modules created in a variety of languages and technologies, including .net assemblies, NI LabVIEW Vis, DLLs, NI LabWindows/CVI C code, ActiveX components, and HT basic code. For .net, TestStand includes a fully-functional .net adapter that allows users to call .net methods and get and set properties, as well as debug .net source code directly from TestStand. With a single TestStand project, users can easily sequence old test modules created in C along with new test routines created using the latest .net technology
