Abstract :
Describes the features of coherent transition radiation which is brought about by nonrelativistic prebunched beam. The beam strikes the finite metal plate or metal string. The experiments were performed in the frequency regions near 10 GHz. A bunched electron beam was produced by the toroidal cavity which receives energy from the magnetron. The receiver applied in this investigation is the outcome of an effort to provide a technique for measurement of the very weak radiation. The paper seeks to describe the principle of operation of this receiver
