Abstract
A distinguishing feature of wireless mesh network is the use of multiple channels, which breaks through the limitation on data transmission efficiency and network capacity brought by single channel. Common channel framework (CCF), a multichannel mechanism proposed in 802.11s, extends traditional DCF mechanism and is fully compatible with traditional 802.11 WLAN. This paper focuses on the performance analysis of CCF. Considers that two states of assigning or no assigning common channel to transmit data existed in CCF and proposes two corresponding performance analytic models based on common channel. Furthermore, throughput formulas are deduced and condition of state transition is presented.
