Flap mechanism is sophisticated and one part failure often affect other parts. This article mainly analyzes the physical failures of key parts in A320 flap and interactions of different components´ physical failures. To analyze the interactions of different components, DMU is used to compute the collision, clearance and contact between them. At the same time, by introducing the concept of weighting factor, the interactions of different components is reflected in the form of formulas, which makes it possible to calculate the quantitative reliability affected by other mechanisms.
