Abstract
Improving the ability of spectrum sensing is a popular topic in cognitive radio(CR) technology. To enhance the communication quality between licensed users (LU) and secondary users(SU) in CR system, a new spectrum sensing algorithm in distributed multi- sensor networks is proposed in this paper. In this novel algorithm, the uncertainty is taken into account based on Dempster-shafer´s(D-S) evidence theory, which can combine the received decisions from multi-sensors into a final global decision. Because of the insensitive to the AWGN channel, the third order cumulants detection is adopted as local sensing at SU. The simulation results show that the performance of the new algorithm is better than that of conventional cooperative sensing based on the energy decision at SU.
