Abstract
We consider the problem of continuous tracking of a reference signal assumed to be a linear combination of polynomials, exponentials and sinusoids of known frequencies. As in Jayasuria and Walgama (1993), the concept of orthogonality and the Diophantine equation are used to construct a prefilter with specified preview information. For the purposes of the paper, only the zero preview case is considered. We exploit the nonuniqueness of the Diophantine equation solution to construct a prefilter that is optimal in a certain sense
