Abstract :
This paper presents a predistortion linearizer for space telecommunication applications with simple circuit structure. The linearizer reported here, which is capable of providing a good control for the amount of gain expansion over input power dynamic range, can compensate the TWTA saturation response better than that of a conventional linearizer. The improvement of about 14.5 dB C/I3 at −3dB Output-Power-Backoff(OPBO) in the frequency range of 8.38∼8.58GHz can be reached by the linearizer.
