Abstract :
This paper presents a general algorithm of the numerical mode matching method (NMM) and obtains the general formulas for EM field computation. The general expressions here can suit both for 2-D electromagnetic waves and static steady field problems under variable-separable general coordinates with arbitrary excitation with which the NMM solutions to the specific problems can be written straight out without any difficulty.
