Abstract :
A study has been undertaken to illustrate the low sensitivity property of sampled-data filters designed using delta operator (in γ-domain). First, a closed form sensitivity result has been derived that clearly shows the advantage of the pole sensitivity using γ-domain formulation. The magnitude sensitivity with respect to coefficient changes in γ and z domain transfer functions is studied for 1-D and 2-D filters. The results clearly illustrate the advantages in designing using delta operator
