Abstract :
Endoradiosondes or radio pills are tiny transmitters which can be swallowed to monitor parameters such as pH in the stomach. These devices were developed in the 1950´s. However, numbers of electronic circuits were limited at that time, because no IC and micro-sensors existed. The sondes are still useful to measure various parameters in the gastric tract in a noninvasive way. Micro technology will be helpful to improve functions of the sondes
