Abstract
To reduce the localization error by Concentric Anchor Beacon (CAB) algorithm in wireless sensor networks, a node localization algorithm based on dual-restricted-area (DRAL) is proposed. In the proposed algorithm, all the perpendicular bisectors of the lines which connect each pair of anchor nodes are used to obtain another kind of possible location area for unknown nodes. Based on the new possible location area, less valid intersection points can be obtained, and the average value of all these valid intersection points is taken as the estimated location of the unknown nodes. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has less estimation error than Centroid, Convex and CAB localization algorithms.
