Abstract :
Software production of today lays high demands on the capabilities of the software product management (SPM) process. SPM is defined as a process based strongly on the well known approaches of version control (VC) and configuration management (CM). The improvement of SPM demands well designed and implemented VC and CM processes. For this reason, the selection of a suitable VC/CM-tool is an important part of the SPM improvement process. It is necessary to be able to specify the right tool selection criteria for each specific case
