  • Abstract
Visual 11, a software tool for compatible PC computers, is presented. Visual 11 is intended for learning microcontroller fundamentals, by using the Motorola 68HC11 as illustration. This program allows editing, compiling and simulating 68HC11 assembly code, in a friendly Windows environment. Visual 11 simulates the 6811 core and several peripheral devices, thus, an electrical engineering student can practice for himself or herself both assembly programming and interfacing concepts, in the classroom or even at home. This tool is suitable for microprocessor and microcontroller courses at an introductory level, being now in use in the University of Zaragoza
