Abstract
Electric vehicles are an important option to reduce pollution and greenhouse effect in the environment. The main problems for battery fed electric vehicles are related to the small ranges, and large recharging times. A possible solution is constituted by electric vehicles in which the energy is produced on-board by a fuel cell based electricity generator. This paper reports about some experiences on design, parts commissioning, assembling and testing a fuel-cell based vehicle. Before installing the propulsion system on-board, several tests were carried out on all the components, particularly the fuel cell stack system.
