  • Abstract
Multi-loop model of asynchronous motor contains lots of parameters, which leads to problems such as complex calculations, difficulty in equations solution and so on. In this paper, a simplified asynchronous motor model is set up on the basis of MATLAB®/Simulink environment to imitate health states of stator inter-turn short and broken rotor bars by simulating and studying their asymmetric fault features of the law. The relative deviation of three-phase current is calculated based on the simulation results, which distinguishes stator asymmetric fault from rotor asymmetric fault quantitatively. At the same time, fault severities are described by the relative deviation and Park vector spectrum. Finally, the method is validated by the experimental data of broken rotor bars.
