Abstract
Remote areas of Utility Grid Network in developing countries like India suffer due to poor voltage regulation relating to peaks in demand and poor load factor. In this paper authors propose a rural substation configured with Battery Bank, Solar PV Array, Adjustable Power Converter and Inverters in order to offer advantages like constant power flow from grid and integration of Solar PV Array. Levelised Cost of Energy (LCOE) has been estimated with emphasis on cost of energy generation & energy storage components.
