Abstract
A Sliding-Mode (SM) technique for inverter control is proposed, where a discrete-time control action is applied to the duty-cycle of a PWM controller. The design criteria of the SM controller are discussed and are applied to the design of a sinewave inverter, which is implemented both as a model in Scicos environment and in a laboratory prototype. A sensitivity analysis of the inverter operation as a function of different choices of parameters is reported.
