Abstract
This paper proposes a method of controller design for active power filters based on impedance shaping. Using load current feedforward and network current feedback control allows to “shape” the equivalent impedances in series with the network and in parallel with the load to specified values, thus to achieve desired filtering performance and to block disturbances from the supply network. Experimental results show that the proposed method can achieve a better compromise between filtering performance and stability of the overall system
