Abstract :
An electrodynamic balance used as a tool for unit operations on single sub-millimeter particles is described. Fine control of the particle position is designed and realized using either fuzzy logic concepts or traditional PID schemes. Precision and efficacy of the two methods are compared. A simple application to the drying of a droplet is shown
