Abstract
The Direct-drive permanent magnet wind generator (DDPMWG)is connected to the grid through a back to back full power converter. So the design and analysis modeling based on the grid voltage of traditional synchronous generators is not suitable for DDPMWG yet. In this paper, a new design and analysis modeling for DDPMWG is proposed. Considering the strategy of the converter, this modeling can show the operation status of the DDPMWG more accurately. According to the presented design modeling, a 2MW DDPMWG is designed. All of the simulation and experiments results verified the design modeling correctly.
