  • Abstract
    The presence of a normal mode ac voltage can generate a significant dc offset in a digital multimeter (DMM). We have measured this offset for a range of instruments and find that it is more pronounced in high performance DMM´s. This effect is related to the use of more complex differential amplifiers in the preamplifier stage
