  • Abstract
    Summary form only given. We report on increased power scalability for generation of 772 nm and 386 nm radiation using second harmonic (SH) generation in periodically poled KTP (PPKTP) and LiTaO/sub 3/ (PPLT). We have demonstrated the power-up scalability of 772 nm PPKTP based source to 3.5 W average power level, and of 386 nm PPLT based source to 235 mW level using 40 dBm seeded erbium fibre amplifier. The sources benefit from high stability, compact format, fibre-based design and high wall-plug efficiency.
