Abstract :
With rapid development of tourism, the competition among tourist regions is getting increasingly fierce. In spite of late start in tourism development, Southern Taihang Mountains, as a significant tourist area in Henan Province, tends to quicken its steps on the way of tourism development relying on its rich tourism resources as well as confront with the increasingly acute tourism competition in this region itself. In this paper, the development trends of the tourist market of the five cities in the Southern Taihang Mountains tourism areas are comprehensively analyzed based on the theory of tourism competitive states with a view to provide theoretical basis for the tourism development planning and strategic decision of the five cities in this region.
