Abstract :
A compact duplexer for an IMT-2000 handset application is presented. To reduce its size, a microstrip slow-wave open-loop resonator having high-impedance meander lines has been utilized. The proposed resonator has yielded an area reduction of 30% as compared to J. S. Hong and M. J. Lancaster (see IEEE Trans. Microwave Theory Tech., vol.45, p.2358-65, Dec. 1997). The duplexer is analyzed using the FDTD method and EM simulator IE3D. The implemented duplexer has shown a good performance and been well agreed with both analyses
