Abstract
Nowadays small isolated electric grids are supplied by diesel groups integrated by renewable sources as wind, solar so as batteries storage. Transient behavior has to be studied to analyze the electric power requirements for rotating generators, power electronics converter and control systems in order to assure proper and safe operating during dynamic conditions according to the load and wind fluctuations. The paper deal with the assessment of a simulation tool to analyze the dynamic performance of integrated generation systems (IGS).
