Abstract :
Two techniques to reduce the physical size of circular and rectangular microstrip patch antennas are presented. The antenna elements are orientated orthogonally to each other to form multielement antennas (MEAs) to realize diversity antennas. The reduced size and thin substrate thicknesses will allow compatibility with portable communications systems
