Abstract
An antenna operating at 5.8GHz, which can be used to communicate over 30m, is integrated onto a 20-Omega-cm silicon substrate. The range is more than 6times larger than the previously reported results using a pair of 3-mm long zigzag dipole antennas operating at 24GHz, which are ~30% smaller. The ground plane of this monopole antenna can be a part of on-chip matching network
