Abstract :
This paper presents a design of a three-phase ac exciter for a static frequency converter (SFC). The exciter offers constant current for main machine from 0 to 1500 rpm during the starting mode. The design of the prototype machine based on the simulation of the Matlab is tested to verity if this exciting mode could meet the requirement of SFC.
