  • Abstract
An original scheme of laser spectrometer based on an active cavity with a saturated absorber has been investigated. A signal-to-noise improvement at an increase of the cavity Q-factor has been demonstrated both theoretically and experimentally. Prospects for applying the active cavity enhanced saturation spectroscopy are discussed
