Abstract
An analysis method for the start-up characteristics of crystal oscillators is presented. The reason for causing oscillation to start just after the DC power supply is switched on is discussed by means of computer-aided analysis and small signal equivalent circuit analysis. This analysis method, suitable for practical use, is outlined. This method can calculate both the overall start-up characteristics of the amplitude and the frequency of oscillation. Experimental results are given to verify the usefulness of this analysis method
